My writing journey began in earnest a couple of years ago, and I never imagined down what paths it would take me. It has been an eye opening, emotional roller coaster of a ride. Full of ups and downs, filled with pride and self-doubt, happiness and frustration.
However, today is the second major milestone of this journey. The first being when I completed my first draft. Today, a publisher extended an offer of publication!!
I can't begin to express how it made me feel to finally have a professional acknowledge all my hard work and see in Forgotten Storm what I saw.
It was a little anticlimactic sitting here all alone with no one to hug or shout it to. Although I immediately called my husband after doing a little ballroom waltz across the living room floor.
I'm not sure where this will lead. The contract may not be to my liking or in my best interest, and therefore, I will have to decline and start all over again. Or, it could be the start of a long and prosperous relationship.
Where ever it leads, have no doubt, I will be sure to keep you all posted.
